DIY AVOCADO FACE MASK

Do you ever have avocados that go bad really fast? Before throwing them away, I recommend this easy and quick at home face mask!

Face masks are an easy way to take time for yourself - decompress mentally and physically. We're all so busy that we forget the benefits of just taking 5 - 30 minutes to ourselves, putting all our concerns and work aside, and just unwinding. We all practice self care in different ways and this DIY face mask is perfect to try out!

Inspired by a recipe by Mama Sezz, this recipe is great to use up some plant leftovers. Other than the prep, it is an easy face mask to quickly put together and leave on while doing other things - let the mask do all the work!

 Ingredients

½ a mashed avocado

½ teaspoon of lemon juice

½ teaspoon of lemon zest

Leave on for 5-10 minutes

I first started by mashing up half an avocado. I was using avocado cubes I had frozen recently, making this a cool and refreshing mask.

I then added half a teaspoon of lemon juice and half a teaspoon of lemon zest. Lemons are great for their vitamin C that can help brighten the skin.

Lastly, I mixed all of the ingredients together and applied it to my face! It is super easy to make, and then you can relax for 5 -10 minutes before washing it off!

Let me know what you think if you try this face mask recipe! Are there any homemade face masks you have tried at home?
